While traditional institutions, in Europe and North America, maintain their place in the main positions of the ranking, the rapid growth of universities in Asia is visible.
An important parameter for evaluation is to observe that investments in research accelerate innovation and allow the birth of new companies. This can be seen in Asian countries, which have provided a growing scenario for investments in the high-tech industry.

Ranking Index Nature
The Nature Index publishes tables based on high quality survey result counts in the previous calendar year.
This summary includes not only the main Nature Index Global institutions in all sectors, but also the main rising stars, and the institutions that had the greatest growth in terms of production since 2015.
The ratings are based on the share of articles from an institution or country published in the 82 prestigious scientific journals selected by an independent panel of experts and tracked by the Nature Index database.
The data and methods of the Nature Index are transparent and are available under a Creative Commons license at natureindex.com.

Top 50 QS Ranking
First published in 2012, the QS Top 50 classifies the best universities in the world with less than 50 years of foundation, allowing young universities to be recognized. Since 2015, it has tripled its reach by including 100 universities under 50 years of foundation.
In the general selection of the best, there are universities from different disciplines, but there is also a selection by subject and region: Art & Humanities, Engineering and Technology, Life Science & Medicine, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences.
QS Ranking 2020
The Nanyang University of Technology continues to be considered the best young university in the world. Up to the seventh place the highlight is for the Asia region.

CWUR
The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) is a leading consultancy organization that provides policy and strategic advice and advice to governments and universities to improve educational and research outcomes.
Since 2012, the publication of the academic ranking of global universities that assesses the quality of education, the employment of alumni, the production of research and citations without relying on research and sending data from the university.
