– As one of the great expanding granaries, Brazil will have a new showcase of world exposure for agriculture and livestock.
Minapim by Hernan Valenzuela: Despite all the difficulties that occurred during the time of the pandemic, Brazilian agriculture continues to gain space in the international market. In March, new markets were opened and sales to other locations increased. In this context, a new showcase is now in operation to continue on this aim.
Egypt, authorized 42 Brazilian establishments for the supply of meat, 27 of which were chicken and 15 of beef, and also renewed the qualification of 95 companies (82 of beef and 13 of chicken), in addition to authorizing the importation of beef cattle . Kuwait opened its market for Brazilian beef.
In Asia, China updated the list of 108 establishments authorized to sell fish, an activity that had been paralyzed since 2015. Indonesia deals with an extra import quota of 20 thousand tons of beef, improving the Brazilian participation in this segment, being that Australia is the main meat supplier for that country.
In an innovative action brought by BÄUMLE in partnership with DLG in Germany, new viewing opportunities are opened up to producers in all sectors where Brazil, which already has excellent performance in production, such as sugar cane, coffee and orange, soybeans, tobacco and beef, and corn, a product in which Brazil is the third country in volume of annual production.
According to Minister Tereza Cristina (Agriculture, Livestock and Supply), given the current scenario, some sanitary measures, which often make processes take longer or were even used as trade barriers, “are being left behind”.
The minister has highlighted the importance of the demands that Brazil currently receives from other countries that seek agricultural products and are concerned with a possible shortage of “post-pandemic Coronavirus”. It is the case of Malaysia and Singapore that started a dialogue with the Ministry to resume or increase imports of chicken and beef.
The partnership Baümle and DLG, starts at this strategic moment for the economy, and will be the new showcase to allow the participation of Brazilian companies in events like Agritechnica, considered the main world exhibition of agricultural production technologies and the EuroTier World Fair in Animal Production , Energy Decentral International Fair of Innovative Supply of Decentralized Energy for the Sustainable Energy Production Chain, and other important exhibitions in Thailand, China, Russia, Poland, some African countries among others.
Brazilian Exports

The agricultural sector plays an important role in total Brazilian exports, with 43.2%, higher than the 42% recorded in 2019. Some products showed significant growth: soybeans, meat, cotton, peanuts, grapes and juices.
Regarding the possibility of an event in Brazil, Mr. Peter Grothues from DLG, says: “We are monitoring the development of global markets regularly and we keep in touch with partners and local multipliers to identify potentials and create new concepts and exhibition formats worldwide . If a new exhibition was launched by DLG in Brazil, we would promote it in time ”.
Brazil offers a high potential to make its products and services more present in global exhibitions and fairs and to increase its respective export activities. “DLG’s highly professional events are the ideal platform to generalize these new businesses, while guaranteeing access to the know-how created by DLG and its partners and members” comments Brena Baümle Director of the company.
